**About the QA Auditor role**:
As a Raw Materials QA Auditor at Kinnerton Confectionery, you will play a key role in ensuring we produce high-quality and safe chocolate products. You will be an advocate for driving site policy and procedures, helping to ensure high standards within the factory.

The role of the Raw Material QA Auditor is to ensure that all raw materials that arrive at the site meet the company requirements.

The Auditor is also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is used efficiently, safely and by the Kinnerton Management Protocols and to ensure that all areas meet the technical standards required of the business and comply with relevant food safety legislation.

**Hours**:

- 40 hours
- Monday - Friday
- 08:30 - 16:30

**Salary**:£23,625

**Responsibilities**:

- To manage the day-to-day deliveries and to ensure that all material delivered to the site is assessed against the correct standard and removed from the data system within 48 hours of delivery.
- To check, daily, the checklist and ensure that all materials where possible are removed from the data system within 48 hours of delivery.
- To complete all necessary tests required to ensure that a raw material meets the required standards and is fit for use. I.e. certification, supplier approval, size checks, shelf life checks, viscosity checks, weigh checks, microsampling etc.
- Complete all micro, nutrition, end-of-life and environmental sampling as per schedule to ensure that the company has the necessary results to prove due diligence. This includes all raw materials and checks that are required.
- To ensure that all results are compared and signed off against the required standard, (customer micro limits, raw material specification etc.).
- To ensure that for any out-of-specification results, the escalation procedure is followed and that all necessary actions and retest are completed and documented.
- To report issues to the Operations Team and Technical.
- To support the Analytical Services team and conduct lab testing.
- To ensure that full segregation and controls are in place within the warehouse against the site segregation risk assessment.
- To ensure good manufacturing practice audits are completed for warehouse areas.
- Codes of Practice review for key customer requirements.
- The role will also involve admin of QA documents, schedules, spreadsheets, etc. for the QA manager.
- To carry out Project work as required by QA Manager.
- To cover Shift QA tasks within production and packing as required by QA Manager.

Qualifications:
**Essential**
- Good level of English and Math's demonstrated by GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (or equivalent)
- An understanding of pest control and completion of a training course in this area
- Good understanding of GMP best practice
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage people, quality or health and safety issues and confidence to escalate these issues when required.
- Previous Experience within FMCG Environment

**Desirable**
- Level 3 HACCP
- Level 3 Food Safety
- Segregation and Integrity Training
- COP Review
- Complaints Reduction Experience
