The role of Team Manager - Homelessness Prevention & Solutions has a competitive pay rate of £20.87 per hour PAYE (negotiable). Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days of holiday (excluding Bank Holidays). **The Main Purpose of Team Manager - Homelessness Prevention & Solutions**: " Direct line management for up to 8 staff. " To provide day-to-day management responsibility within a complex and high-risk area comprising front line and triage homelessness assessment services, homeless prevention and relief services. " To cover and act for the other team managers in their absence. " To oversee the delivery of an efficient, high-quality, caring and responsive advice and assessment service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, ensuring that applicants' housing and support needs are assessed and met in line with thehomelessness legislation, statutory guidance and the Council's policies and procedures. " To ensure the service is focused on the prevention of homelessness through targeted early interventions including advocacy, negotiation and mediation and homelessness is relieved at the earliest opportunity. **About you, the successful will have**: " Working knowledge of legislation on lettings, homelessness, security of tenure, and tenants' rights including codes of guidance, case law and good practice. " An understanding of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. & Part VI & VII of the Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002. " Experience in delivering advisory services to people in need. " Able to communicate calmly, clearly and effectively and have excellent written, interpersonal and negotiating skills. Other Requirements " The job involves travel for business purposes. " Ability to work outside normal working hours to meet service requirements. " Ability to carry out home visits.
