**Role and Responsibilities**
In collaboration with the CEO, FD, and Sales Director you will define, agree, and deliver strategic, multi-year growth Marketing strategies for an established SaaS business that is in an exciting growth phase.
This role will allow you to leverage your experience of working in scale up environments and your ability to adapt and respond to evolving business needs. As a self-motivated professional you will be able to effectively balance your stakeholders’ needs which means appreciating the need, initially, to balance a hands-on operational approach to delivery as well as maintaining a strategic focus whilst engaging your team to deliver.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and deliver the long-term marketing strategy aligned to business goals
- Define the overall brand strategy and the marketing & communication plans to solidify the current business position
- Actively engage and understand current and target consumers by utilising in house data, consumer and partner feedback and make recommendations for future research needs
- Work with relevant research partners to develop target audiences for each sector or geography and translate those findings into creative briefs to inform the overall strategy for launch campaigns aligned to sectors and / or geographies
- Develop sector, regional, product launch strategies for measurable successful “go to market” plans, growing/defending brand market share with competitive pricing, innovative programs, and strategic advertising support
- Where necessary as part of the growth strategy manage creative and media buying agency relationships to maximize efficiencies and garner the strongest branding efforts possible
- Manage agreed Marketing budgets and ensure accurate ROI on all committed Marketing strategies
Operationally you will be responsible for effectively leading a marketing team that is competent, commercially astute, dedicated, and efficient. You will engage and develop current direct reports using a clear performance management and objective setting approach to establish best practices and foster a culture of excellence among the team.
You will have significant experience of benchmarking and reviewing marketing mixes and along with developing metrics for each marketing campaign you will ensure campaigns are optimised to meet goals, objectives and appropriate ROI. You will have experience of optimising marketing budgets, managing events expenses and the P&L statement.
You will be comfortable working with senior level stakeholders and able to demonstrate how you have built strong alliances with Sales leadership and other key stakeholders.
This role will provide you with a great opportunity to leverage your strong project management skills to deliver campaign frameworks, create and maintain SEO strategy including building strong inbound link structures, optimising marketing campaigns for keywords and evaluating new methods to provide content.
**Key Requirements**
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are essential for this highly collaborative position
- Previous senior level strategic, global scale up, Marketing experience with a strong focus on revenue generation
- Previously engaged at SLT level you will be comfortable reporting to the Board
- Previous experience in marketing SaaS, web technology platforms and HR solutions
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, outstanding interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree - Marketing, PR, Communications or related field required
- Knowledge of CRM systems e.g. Hubspot
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator (Creative Suite)
- Proven track record of developing and producing revenue-driving client campaigns
- Excellent relationship building skills, ability to successfully manage relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Enthusiastic, positive team player with ability to motivate and gain consensus
- Preferable exposure to start ups or scale ups in SaaS, ideally in the Recruitment industry or HR sector
**What Can you Expect**
- A competitive basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
