**The Role**

This is a hybrid role: think part sales, part customer service and part administration. You will report directly to your store manager and will be assisting in all aspects of the stores sales performance in order to grow and develop the business.

**Sales Responsibilities**
- Advising new and existing customers on the best storage solution for their particular needs
- Letting of rooms
- Selling of merchandise
- Selling of insurance
- Following up enquiries
- Managing existing accounts and general administrative tasks
- Processing of cash / card and BACS payments
- Credit Control
- Develop and sustain sales activities to ensure maximum profit is achieved

**Operational Responsibilities**
- Ensuring the store presents itself to a high standard of cleanliness and appearance
- Conduct daily health and safety checks and complete any ad hoc basic maintenance tasks
- Flexible availability - including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hold a full driving licence (preferred)

**Essential Skills**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales and/or retail environment
- Excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life
- Computer literate
- Possess strong selling and communication skills

**Hours of Work**

Rota shifts during store opening times of:

- Monday to Friday 08.00 to 19.00
- Saturday 09.00 to18.00
- Sunday 10.00 to16:00

- Nottingham NG14: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)
