We are looking for an experienced support worker to work with young people in care from the age of 16 to 25

You will be working to help to develop their independent living skills at home and in the community.

This includes helping them manage their accommodation, finances, and wellbeing, whilst assisting them in making a successful transition towards independent living.

Therefore, we are looking for an engaging and passionate person who is a strong team player and is flexible in their approach. You should possess the skills to motivate young people to achieve their full potential and be a positive role model.

**Duties**:

- Building positive, supportive, trusting relationships with young people other professionals.
- Liaising with Local Authorities, Social Workers, Doctors, and other Care Professionals.
- Office-based location with outreach support.
- Providing advice and guidance on finances, health, welfare benefits, housing, and life skills.
- Working with external agencies and signposting the young people to the appropriate services suited to their needs.
- Complete and provide monthly progress reports to Social Workers and Personal Advisors.
- Working efficiently with other team members to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.

Job description
- Experience working with young people in support, residential, or youth work is essential.
- You will know the Children's Act 1989 / 2004 & be familiar with child protection issues & procedures.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or equivalent.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- Support Work: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (required)
