**Skills and Experience**: **Essential**: - Successful security clearance and vetting is mandatory for this role. - Good creativity and Technical skills with the ability to find solutions. - Fault diagnostics and troubleshooting with a variety of IT systems. - In-depth knowledge and experience with networking and routing protocols. - Must be able to administer complex networks and hardware such as routers, firewalls, VMs etc. - Proven background with working within a technical environment. - Delivering key operational support to customers and meeting SLAs. - Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast response. - Identify and escalate situations requiring immediate attention. - Provide service support for new and existing projects. - Strengthen of a highly motivated and technical team. - Liaison with the Customer Service Desk to ensure fast response for reported incidents. - General knowledge of a wide variety of IT and technical ability rather than a focused role. - The ability to "get things done" and take ownership of tasks. - Ability to work to tight timescales and manage multiple tasks and internal and external customers. **Desired**: - Experience of wireless technology such as APN, Mobile 3G /4G or radio networking. - Ability to use Linux command line and Windows operating systems. - Coding, scripting or design skills are very desirable, especially Unity 3D development. - Design experience with Web or Software GUI. - Documenting processes or creating guides and manuals. - General networking experience. - A good personality, creativity and drive to succeed. - Current UK Driving Licence. You will be required to build customer relationships, these will include - Maintain a positive and professional image of the company when dealing with internal staff, customers and third parties. - To maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all internal staff and customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner. - Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation. - Demonstrate an aptitude for negotiating and the management of third parties. - Strong communication skills (written, face to face, and by phone). - Ability to remain calm under pressure.
