We are currently looking for an Airfreight Operations Trainee to start work in Wythenshawe, Manchester on a permanent basis.

About the position:

- Learn all aspects of the Import/Export Airfreight Industry
- Daily / Weekly admin duties ( Post Flights / Filling )
- To learn how to raise new export shipments and providing the customer service required.
- Making bookings with Airlines.
- Assisting with Import admin tasks for VIP Key account
- Completing Export Customs Entries
- Completing Quotes in the PPQ System
- Supporting the Team
- Working within the Import/Export Department, and being a Team Player.
- Supporting holiday cover
- Full list of Specific duties you will be trained on listed in “ Role Specific and Responsibilities
- You will be expected to follow strict processes and procedures to ensure that the information provided is complete, accurate and provided by the relevant individual.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

- Be committed to excellent service quality.
- Liaising with overseas branches and internal customers
- Dealing with internal and external customers on a day to day basis.
- Liaise with all new and regular customers on all queries and issues through regular
contact by telephone
documentation
- Ensure any special requirements or instructions are clearly specified
- Ensuring accurate accruals and cost accuracy.
- Accuracy and timelines of documentation
- Review all customer booking instructions ensuring these are understood and followed
- Ensure full understanding and strict compliance to customs processes and procedures
- Accurate and timely management of all mandatory milestone data
- Developing effective relationships and negotiating with carriers and overseas
agents
- Understanding of the airfreight product including Incoterms
- Responding to customer booking and overseas agents requests
- Research and provide competitive quotations to both internal and external
customers and follow to ensure good success rate.
- Entering HM Customs entry procedures (NES).
- Raising sales invoices accurately within agreed KPI timescales
- Daily / weekly admin duties / Post flight Filling
- Completing quotes through PPQ quoting system.
- Supporting BFPO Exports Holiday cover
- Comply with all relevant work and safety legislation.

Salary is negotiable dependent on experience.
