Deli Assistant

**Contract**:Permanent
**Hours**: Vacancy One 19 Hours a Week / Vacancy Two 27 Hours a Week / Both includes Every Other Saturday
**Location**: Court Farm Shop, Stoke Orchard, Cheltenham

The emphasis of our Deli is preparing, cooking and providing good quality home cooked choices for breakfast and lunch with different weekly specials. We also have a selection of cheeses as well as a cold meat selection, ready meals, quiches, pork pies, scotch eggs & cakes. All are prepared & cooked following specific recipes.
- Experience of a retail environment, including customer interaction
- Experience of working in a Farm Shop or High Street Deli is desirable but not essential
- Good cooking skills with the ability to prepare a range of fresh breakfast & lunch items following specific recipes
- Excellent food presentation skills with the ability to prepare and place deli products in display counters, ensuring an attractive display is maintained to catch the customer’s eye
- Experience of serving hot drinks using a barista coffee machine as per customer’s requirements is desirable but not essential (training can be given)
- The ability to ensure excellent health & safety and food hygiene practices
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate desirable but not essential (course can be provided)
- Excellent communication, numeracy & literacy skills
- Availability for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the deli
