**A bit about the role**
This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their career to join a busy PR and Influencer Marketing team within the home interest / retail sector. We’re looking for someone with a passion for shaping our reputation and brand image, preferably with a genuine interest in home interiors - because we talk about sofas and beds a lot So if you love browsing the latest styles on pinterest or flicking through a home interest mag, and you know your velvets from your boucles, this could be the perfect job for you.

**Responsibilities**

**PR - UK & ROI**

Responsible for supporting the running of the busy day-to-day UK and ROI press office, supporting the PR Manager. Responsibilities will include:

- Management of PR shots and the DFS digital media centre
- Management of the press cuttings service including assessing cuttings and collating PR measurement reports
- Management of the photography and content library including media call ins
- Management of press office documents including current activity and VIP order trackers
- Ordering and management of product for shoots, events, media loans and VIPs
- Day-to-day liaison with PR agencies to provide briefings, PR assets, brand and product information, story and angle ideas
- Support PR team in liaising with other disciplines within the DFS marketing team (e.g. digital, social media, CRM) to ensure that PR produced assets are provided and used where relevant
- Supporting PR team in liaising with other disciplines within DFS (e.g. design, commercial, charity) to collate relevant information and seek out potential PR opportunities
- Assisting the implementation of the UK and Ireland press shows & experiential events
- Assist in communicating of new product launches to media and influencers
- Assist in local PR opportunities and any new store openings
- Assist with the PR of DFS’ ESG strategy including provision of donated product for PR owned activations

**Influencer marketing**
- Day-to-day management of CORQ influencer platform and any other platforms used on a tactical basis e.g. Tribe
- Identifying and collecting intelligence on up and coming social influencers using CORQ and other relevant sites
- Act as liaison between DFS and micro influencers including: manage the scope of work contracts, organising product gifting, managing the liaison with the influencer over content production and posting
- Assist in the implementation of the wider influencer marketing strategy in line with the marketing strategy in UK and Ireland, including for new product launches and influencers for events

**What we're looking for** Capabilities Required**:

- Organisation and time management - independently managing your own time to ensure that projects are progressed and deadlines are met
- Proactivity - driving projects forward with support from the PR Manager, and spotting opportunities to help the team
- Copywriting skills and a strong command of the English language
- Project management
- Events management
- Confident presentation and communication skills - presenting to the marketing team, liaising with internal and external colleagues, speaking to influencers and journalists
- Competency and understanding of social media channels and social influence
- Good understanding of journalism and the media agenda
- Ability to act at speed with attention to detail, in order to deliver a high quality output
- Ideation and creativity skills - having opinions, asking questions, bringing fresh thinking and proactively suggesting ideas
- Resourceful and resilient - a positive attitude and skilled in finding solutions to challenges

**Educations and qualifications**:

- A BA hons degree, ideally in communications, PR, journalism, English, psychology (or a related category field e.g. design) or the equivalent industry experience
- At least one year of PR experience gained in a professional environment
