BAND 5 Development role will be considered for the right individual

We are looking for a committed and dynamic registered professional to provide specialist mental health care within the CMHT based in Stamford. If you work well within a team and are highly motivated to provide excellent care, then we would encourage you to apply. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work within the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme to help shape the future of CMHT’s and improve the lives of people who access healthcare services.

You will work effectively in the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality mental health assessments, treatment plans and manage risk. Service users will present with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, many of whom will have chronic and complex needs relating to poor physical health, substance misuse, social issues, and possibly forensic issues. This work will involve working with service users and their carers in the delivery of evidence-based interventions/treatments, recovery focused work. You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to high quality care as well as possessing good therapeutic and interpersonal skills. The post holder will be required to work autonomously as well as within the MDT and with other LPFT teams, private healthcare providers and external/ voluntary agencies.

There will be a requirement to work alongside other teams and services who may also be involved in the care of our service users and therefore the ability to communicate effectively and identify and maintain professional networks across various health settings is essential.

You will have a strong sense of initiative, excellent team working ability and communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of therapeutic interventions and community assessment skills. A willingness to undertake training relevant to the post is expected.

Experience of working with this service user group is essential as well as an up to date working knowledge of current mental health legislation and issues around the care and treatment of community patients with complex needs.

You must hold relevant qualifications and professional registration with an appropriate level of post qualification experience. You will be encouraged to contribute to service development, and there will be opportunities for CPD and clinical supervision as professional development is actively encouraged.

Whilst the post is based in Stamford the trust is also open to remote and flexible working possibilities as part of this role and dependant on business/service needs. The post holder will be expected to travel to other sites in the county as required and the trust also makes use of digital technology that allows for remote working when appropriate.

Whilst this consultation is taking place, we will still be checking the vaccination status of all successful applicants for a position which is deemed as ‘in scope’ of the Regulations. This is so we can manage individual and environmental risks, and to support those who may be undecided about vaccination. As the regulations revoke is being consulted on, there may still be a requirement for vaccination - we will need to await the outcome and parliamentary approval to know the requirements and will keep you informed. However, LPFT encourages and support vaccination update as this remains the best line of defence against COVID19.

We offer 24-hour services within our Inpatient, Crisis and SPA teams, if you are successfully appointed to posts in these areas or others that might have specified, you will be required to work unsociable hours and shift patterns.
