Working hours: Monday to Friday 30-37.5h

**Overview**:
We are currently seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as an experienced Medical Secretary. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative
duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
**Duties are listed below but are not limited to**:
- Processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner
- Liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordance with current policies.
- Preparing medial referral letters for the GP's - this will include using digital dictation, NHS E-referral system as well as the preparation of hard copy letters to send to secondary care
- Monitoring of all E-referral system - checking for cancellations, outstanding bookings and advice and guidance notifications
- IGPR requests
- Adhere to practice policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
**Essential criteria**:
- Previous experience in the medical secretary role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetic with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of Medical terminology
**Desirable criteria**:
- GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting.
- Strong IT skills (EMIS and Office)
- Certifcates in typewriting/word processing
