To assist in managing the Housekeeping team to ensure all areas are kept to the required quality and standard of operation. To ensure guests are made as comfortable and welcome as possible.
What you’ll do
- To prepare and carry out all cleaning schedules for all areas of responsibility
- To ensure that all products and equipment are stored correctly
- To supervise and monitor laundry control
- To train all new team members and carry out coaching / corrective training in an existing team member as and when required to do so
- To ensure all team members fully understand all legal and policy issues for the company
- To carry out daily checks on all the rooms, linen rooms / service cupboards, public areas and to follow through any issues arising from them
- To ensure that all equipment is kept in good working order and any faults are reported to maintenance
- To follow all health and safety, manual handling and COSHH regulations
- To ensure that maximum efficiency is achieved through teamwork
- Ensure company standards are maintained e.g. Uniform, rules and regulations. To report any breaches to Head Housekeeper / Assistant Head Housekeeper
- Ensure all staff are aware of health and safety and report any dangers
- Be aware of fire procedures and be able to implement them in case of alarm activating
- Perform any additional duties as required by the Head Housekeeper or Assistant Head Housekeeper
