In our ongoing investment in our people, we are hiring a Head of Sector to join our Sector Sales team. We are looking for someone who shares our core values; Respect for people, Hard work and enterprise, excellence in reputation and to make work a better place for people.

As Head of Sector you will lead and develop a high performing team to deliver the sales and net profit for the Utilities, Energy and Waste sector. Working collaboratively across the business to ensure sector strategy performance is realised and an effortless customer experience is achieved.

Managing a team of 7 Key Account and Strategic Development Managers you will have revenue responsibility of between £20m and £40m.

Responsible for developing and driving the sector sales strategy in collaboration with marketing, across all sales channels and all customer sizes. With accountability for the delivery of new business target for the sector and the pipeline development to enable future growth.

This is a Full Time position, 37.5hours, the role/team cover the whole of the UK. Therefore there is national travel and overnight stays required within the role. Company Car or Cash for cars allowance is part of the benefits package.

As part of this role you will:

- Coach, lead and develop a team to maximise potential and ensure high performance and engagement
- Accountable for sales and net profit performance (full P&L responsibility) of defined sector.
- Maximise vendor relationships in order to optimise the growth and profitability of the sector.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to define the contact strategy in order to optimise sales resources and performance.
- Commercial contribution towards the wider strategic business objectives and projects
- Experience of developing and executing a sector sales strategy
- Proven track record of developing high performing sales teams.
- Operated at a strategic sales level, ideally within a BWB sales environment
- Proven track record of successful P&L delivery within a sales environment
- Excellent understanding of marketing, competition and customers in a given sector
- An understanding of Challenger Sales Methodology would be an advantage.
