Community Housing Support

BDS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Community Housing Support to work with older adults that live in extra care supported housing to help manage tenancies, ASB, voids properties, lettings and arrears in Blyth. This will be based in an older adults extra care scheme in the Blyth area
You will have previous experience working in sheltered housing or have worked in Social Housing with older adults. The main aspect of the role is to provide an effective housing management service for older tenants, managing arrears, lettings, voids and anti-social behaviour.
Key Experience
- Knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding and housing management would be beneficial but not essential
- Experience of housing management to include welfare checks, health and safety building checks and reporting repairs
- Strong knowledge of tenancies, managing void properties/ arrears and ASB.
- Sound welfare benefit and signposting knowledge
- Excellent IT Skills, with ability of learning multiple in house and external systems quickly and simultaneously.
Hours are 35 hours per week across Monday - Friday, this is a permanent position to start asap. This will be based at an extra care scheme for older adults in the Blyth area. Car drivers preferred, however not essential.
The salary starts at £23,500 per annum, with Enhanced 33 days holiday allowance (rising to 38 days after 5 years’ service), Enhanced pension and many other fantastic benefits.
