**Security Team Member**

Location: Bury St Edmunds

**Role Purpose**:
The primary purpose of the Security Officer role is the delivery of security tasks, requiring industry standard knowledge of security activities. Your main focus is to ensure you give a professional service from our security team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining the security of Greene King and to protect Staff, Customers, Visitors and Assets.
- To ensure compliance with all Greene King and Security orders.
- To have a full working knowledge of the access control system.
- To test all access control points on a regular basis.
- To have a full working knowledge of the CCTV system.
- To ensure regular checks are made for all sites.
- Where required by the Head of Property Maintenance, act as liaison with the Police and Senior Managers in respect of criminal damage or disciplinary actions.
- To liaise and work closely with the contracted security on a daily basis developing working relationships.
- To assist in the training of contracted security officers as required
- To attend other Greene King sites as required by the Head of Property Maintenance.
- To maintain car parking on site and ensure compliance with company parking regulations.
- To ensure all routes onto site are kept clear for emergency vehicle access and egress.
- To manage the fire alarm system on site and attend all alarm activations.
- To conduct weekly testing of the fire alarm system and assist with evacuation testing when required.
- To act as first line liaison should the fire service attend during activation
- To manage the intruder alarm system on site and attend all alarm activations.
- To be trained on the Permit to Work system and manage contractors safely when on site

**About You**:

- Computer literate and hold a Full driving licence.
- Able to work on their own, using their own initiative and prepared to make appropriate decisions as required.
- able to work within a team, develop team spirit and co-operation.
- Continually strive to develop and enhance the role of the security officer.

*(Working Hours Monday - Friday -2pm-6pm )
