International CSD - Clinical telephone triage nurse

South Central Ambulance Service are looking to recruit several Clinical telephone triage nurses to join our team that is based at our Bicester site in Oxfordshire on a full time or part time basis.

As Clinical telephone triage nurse, you will be responsible for providing high quality complex clinical telephone triage using your knowledge, skills, critical thinking and professional judgement.

Roles and responsibilities of a clinical telephone triage nurse include:

- Review incoming 999 cases and assess in priority of urgency
- Carry out comprehensive clinical triage calls to patients; this includes video assessments
- Provide a full assessment, healthcare advice and information in line with Pathways assessment software and own professional judgement
- Make onward referrals into other areas of the NHS as required
- Provide high quality clinical care to all patients requiring our services
- Support colleagues with difficult or destressing calls (Listening in, taking over or support a debrief after the call is completed)

- Ability to work shifts to cover a 24 hour period (10 or 8 hour shifts, E=7-17.30, M=10.00-20.30, L=14.30-01.30 N=20.30-07.00)
