Family-owned since 1998, CG Fixings has become one of the UK's largest tool distributors - and we're still growing. As an ever-expanding business, we are looking for a Production Operative to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position with an an annual salary of £20,995.00 per annum.

Your normal working week will be Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm.

You will receive 20 days leave per year plus bank and proclaimed holidays.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
As a Production Operative you will help us manage the accuracy of our stock and the organisation of our warehouse, assisting with the timely movement of stock across our locations. You will be an integral part of a high-performing production team and you will primarily be expected to:

- Split down bulk stock kits and repack as individual items
- Adhere to quality standards, taking ownership of our products and delivering the best quality.
- Perform warehouse inventory controls via scanner and through a computer.
- Stock counting and location checks.
- Assist with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock.
- Sort and place stock on to racks, and shelves.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation.
- Conform to Health and Safety requirements by operating safe working practices at all times.

We are looking for a process-driven individual who enjoys working efficiently and methodically, both alone and as part of a team. This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals, the requirement to achieve planned production and efficiency targets relies on organisation and the ability to work flexibly as well as to deadlines.

The role involves a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and lifting. Having a good range of mobility is important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety guidelines without placing undue strain on your body.

Although this job description outlines your main duties adaptability is key and you may be asked to undertake other duties as required by your supervisor/manager.

Forklift Experience (Counterbalance & Reach) and experience of using a Warehouse Management System would be beneficial but are certainly not a requirement. Full inhouse training will be provided.
