At Labcorp in **Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire**, we are looking to recruit a **Sample Coordinator** to join our Toxicology Study Coordination team.

In this role you will be supporting the study direction department with sample management, inventory and administrative tasks as well as regular upkeep of frozen storage areas.

This is a new role for the department so you will have the opportunity to really make the role your own whilst being part of a supportive and experienced team.

**Main Duties**:

- Performs any combination of sample management and/or archive tasks, including labeling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of samples and/or materials
- Sample handling
- Maintenance and upkeep of storage units
- Accurate protocol and relevant documentation interpretation (i.e., Sample Analysis Outline, client paperwork)
- Document and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel and leads problem solving. Submits audit responses to QAU inspections as needed
- Lead or participates process improvement initiatives
- Ensures company procedures are followed in relation to security and access to relevant areas and data or sample integrity

**Education**:

- Minimum G.C.S.E.s / A Levels (or equivalent)

**Skills and Experience**:

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Proven work experience in sample management or coordination of clinical and biological samples advantageous
