**Senior Practice Accountant**

**Location**: Borough / London Bridge, SE1.
**Salary**: Circa £40,000 per annum.

TaxAssist Accountants are the largest network of accountants, currently working from over 300 locations throughout the UK, and now expanding with Offices in Ireland, Australia, Canada, and the United States. We are a Times top 25 accountancy company whichis owned by the franchisees and managers.

We focus our accountancy skills specifically on small businesses and taxpayers needing a tax return in the UK. They specialise in providing accountancy services, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax savings, and tax advice to small businesses. They have80,000 clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies and Personal Taxpayers.

We are seeking a Senior Practice Accountant to join our growing office based in London Bridge. Potentially full time but minimum 25 hours per week with flexibility to increase later.

**About the role**

**Main Responsibilities**
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Holding meetings with new and existing clients
- Completing personal and corporate tax computations
- Accounts preparation for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- VAT return preparation and submission
- Plus, other ad hoc duties

**What we need from you**
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified / Part qualified or qualified by experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm
- Technically capable of producing statutory financial statements and managing information to a high standard
- Experience of calculating and submitting client VAT returns
- Experience of calculating and submitting corporation tax and personal tax
- The mind-set of someone who can see themselves running their own business.
