Want to have more meaning in your life? Do you want to do something that is satisfying and of great service to your community? Then become a Hospital Volunteer.

As a Hospital Volunteer you will be providing a friendly and helpful welcome to patients, families and visitors to Bolton Hospital and to provide a general way finding service.

Volunteers are needed to provide a valuable resource, which enhances patient care by giving practical help and support to patients and staff, but does not replace the work of staff

The only qualification required is your desire to help someone in need and have a professional friendly attitude.

We ask volunteers to help for a minimum of fours hours a week and a minimum commitment for six months.

We provide all the training you need to volunteer, including an induction and informal, friendly support and supervision.

Bolton, Bury and Rochdale Breast Screening Programme provided by Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for Volunteers to Escort/Coordinate ladies presenting for their Breast Screening appointments

Will be given a patient list to work from/coordinate and own reception area to be based.

Working with 2 Mammographers to help deliver the Bolton Breast Screening Service efficiently and effectively

We know we can provide you with a great place to volunteer, alongside fantastic teams who are all pulling together to give the people of Bolton the best care possible.

The aims of this Trust are to improve the health of our people and provide the best possible care to the population in which we serve and ensure that our staff have joy and pride in their work. We are striving to recruit volunteers that reflects the communities in which we serve. Staff and volunteers are valued and we can offer excellent opportunities for further training and development.

You will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to volunteer in a patient focussed environment. You will also need to have good organisational skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people face to face.
