**Work at the Edinburgh Christmas Market as a Baker.**

**2-3 days a week, 6 up to 12 hours daily, must be available during the full festive season.**

**Temporary: 14 November start, 3 January end.**

We are looking for hard-working individuals with the right personality to join our bakery at the Edinburgh Christmas Market at Princess Street.

Do you have experience working in a bakery, or have you always wanted to enter the baking field? This is an opportunity to learn and work independently as a baker and experience all parts of bakery production.

The Christmas Market is a unique location to work. Located at Princess Street, next to Waverley Station, you will find yourself surrounded by other colourful Christmas stalls.

Stock needs vary based on how busy it gets at the market, and as such you can expect to work both short and longer shifts. The bakery team must ensure that the front of house team has sufficient stock at all times.

It is paramount that you share our commitment to communicating passion in everything we do; from the way we present ourselves, practice cleanliness, nurture our craft and serve our customers.

**We are looking for**:

- Bakers to work appropriately 2-3 days a week, 6 up to 12 hours daily, during the full festive season. Flexibility is required due to our stock needs changing depending on how busy it gets.

**What we offer**:

- A starting hourly wage of up to £12.60hr
- 6-12 hour shifts

- Paid overtime may be available

**Please note that you must be or have the following**:

- Physically able to stand for long periods at a time
- Available to work during weekends
- Able to lift large bags of flour and sugar
- Comfortable cleaning — we use the “clean as you go” method and have strict hygiene standards. The back of house team bakers typically clean 1-2 hours a day
- Based in Edinburgh or surrounding areas
- Have own transport (or ability to catch reliable public transport)

Wholly Waffles is a street food business with Dutch roots. Our goal is to introduce as many people as we can to the traditional Dutch Stroopwafel.
