Chesterfield Borough Council has a housing stock of approximately 9,500 properties. Our stock comprises of a range of housing types such as flats, bungalows, houses, maisonettes and older persons schemes.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is looking to pursue a career in Housing Services.

You will be based at the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall but will have the opportunity to visit our other sites to get an understanding of Housing Services and build relationships with other teams.

You will be provided with on-the-job support to enable the successful completion of an apprenticeship qualification at Level 2 with potential for the position to be made permanent following successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.

On achieving a sound and working knowledge with the assistants role the apprentice will have opportunity to shadow other sections within housing, enabling a wider knowledge and opportunity for career progression.

Along with developing excellent customer care skills the successful applicant will develop their administrative skills and interpersonal skills.

You will work within a small team and become a reliable and trusted member of the team, eventually offering help and support to other team members.
