An luxury house builder with a good local reputation are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work in their commercial team for new build housing projects for sale on the open market in West Yorkshire
The role:
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for preparing, managing and controlling all site development costs and budgets.
- Maintain budget control throughout site development
- Produce accurate bi-monthly valuations
- Procure sub-contractors, goods and materials
- Payment approvals and processing
- Prepare valuation reports
- Liaise with site team and sub-contractors
- Build close working relationships with all departments
- Provide support to the commercial department

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Quantity Surveyor,QS,Surveyor or Commercial Manager in a similar house building environment
- Ability to form strong working relationships
- Effective organisation and team working skills
- Good planning and time management skills
- Good IT skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
Qualifications/Experience
Experience in the house building sector / house building industry
- HND or Degree qualified
