**About us**
Family Focus Staffs is a small, community-driven charity based in Stoke-on-Trent. Our mission is to empower and support families across the city through tailored, compassionate interventions. We are passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of local families experiencing hardship, including issues like mental health challenges, domestic abuse, and financial insecurity.
We are now seeking a Family Support Coordinator to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm, values-driven team delivering essential family services with care, integrity, and impact.
**1. Family Support & Case Management**
- Provide one-to-one support to families, tailored to individual needs.
- Manage and prioritise a caseload efficiently and compassionately.
- Advocate on behalf of families facing complex issues including poverty, mental health, domestic abuse, and addiction.
- Develop and implement safety and risk management plans for vulnerable families.
**2. Program Delivery**
- Assist in the delivery of holistic family support services in line with organisational policies and quality standards.
- Work closely with the Deputy CEO to assess family needs and recommend support strategies.
- Signpost families to appropriate local services and resources.
**3. Communication & Collaboration**
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, colleagues, local authorities, and partner organisations.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
**4. Learning & Development**
- Engage in relevant training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
- Share knowledge and contribute to a learning culture across the team.
**5. Documentation & Reporting**
- Keep accurate, timely records of all casework, assessments, and outcomes.
- Prepare reports to inform internal management and external stakeholders about service impact.

- Experience supporting families facing multiple disadvantages.
- Strong case management and risk assessment skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child/family protection frameworks.
- Excellent communication and partnership-working abilities.
- A calm, empathetic, and organised approach to work.
