The Finance Assistant role is a new position which has been created to assist the Financial Accountant in preparing financial, commercial, and administrative tasks. The Finance Assistant will provide cross functional technical and transactional support throughoutthe Department.

Your role is an important one in the running of an exciting and dynamic operation.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant are:

- Ensuring the speedy and consistent flow of accurate sales invoicing
- Credit control and cash allocation
- Purchase ledger function ensuring the provision accurate and appropriately authorised creditors ledger
- Preparation of Key Performance Indicators analysis (financial and other)
- General administrative duties
- Ad hoc exercises as required
- Assist as required by the Financial Accountant in month end account preparation
- Assistance in the preparation of information for the company auditors
- Collation of timely and accurate job margin data, actual against estimate for periodic review.
- Preparation of data and reports ensuring that all obligations to HMRC and other authorities are met
- Support administration within our storage facility

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Finance Assistant are:

- IT Literate with good knowledge of accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Good negotiation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Previous accounting experience in a Finance Department
- Accuracy of work is paramount
- Great interpersonal and communications skills
- Good team working skills
- The ability to work to monthly/weekly deadlines
