**About the role**

You will be working within the SEN provision of this mainstream primary school, for students with an EHCP statement of Autism. Due to having Autism they may have deficits in their speech and language skills or struggle with challenging behaviour so priorexperience with Autism is highly desirable. You will assist either within the mainstream classroom when the student feels they are ready to engage in lessons with their peers or in small group sessions within the Autism provision. You may be required to escortstudents out of the classroom to help with emotional regulation or carrying out behavioural management interventions. Due to the needs of students only full-time applicants (8.30-4pm Monday-Friday) will be considered for this role.

**About the school**

The school are moderate sized mainstream school for primary students in West Acton in the London Borough of Ealing. There are currently placed for 21 students within their Autism provision. The provision has a number of Autism specific functional rooms includinga calm room, where students can request to go to decompress when feeling overstimulated, a sensory room and an Occupational They aim to provide children with a specialist provision where they are taught by a high ratio of specialist staff in small, low arousalclassrooms. The high number of staff allows for pupils to have their individual needs met and support them in accessing the National Curriculum. There is an expectation that ARP pupils will integrate into mainstream school life for part of the day.
