**Your new team**

This position sits in our **Chivas Brothers** business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.

The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered. In addition, Operations play a very active role in Innovation, Talent Development and Operational Risk Management.

The Bulk Operations team sit within Production and are responsible for Filling, Dumping, Vatting and Warehousing of our products. The team are based across our sites in Central Scotland and in Speyside and are driving a high level of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Operational Excellence standards.

**Your unique contribution**

The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for maintaining and developing the production plant and site buildings, services & infrastructure at our Drain and Fill site. You will manage and ensure continued development of Multi Skilled Technicians, actively develop engineering processes and people to ensure the ongoing improvement of the Southern Operations Engineering function.

You will have four main areas of responsibility:

- ** People Management**:

- Direct line management responsibility of a team of Multi-Skilled Technicians, including training, development and management of workload to ensure business needs are met.
- Management external contractors for maintenance work and small projects.
- ** Engineering & Maintenance**:

- Maintain and develop the production buildings and manage all aspects of mechanical and electrical.
- Prepare and maintain drawings, schedules and documentation for new or existing assets and provide project management support and to maximise operational equipment availability, process improvement and leading-edge engineering techniques.
- Take partial responsibility for the controlling of expenditure of the repair and maintenance budget.
- ** Collaboration**:

- Provide expert technical support to Southern Operations, liaising closely with production personnel to ensure efficient, reliable operation of plants.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Engineer and Senior Engineers to manage and schedule statutory inspections.
- ** Compliance**:

- Using your knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation to deliver work, ensuring compliance to the correct cost, quality, and timing requirements.
- Maintain business compliance across all sites, comprising of both internal and external policy, procedure, legislation and planned maintenance activities.
- Be responsible for Permit to Work Authority and Control of Contractors within Southern Operational sites.
