We are looking for an experienced VCA/ANA/Receptionist to join our friendly team at our independent veterinary practice in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

We are a proudly independent local vets with a growing client base. Our new team member will have experience in a veterinary practice - this is essential.

The role will be varied, there will be an opportunity to be hands on with patients and their care, and also times where you will be on reception and performing some basic admin tasks. We are happy to support your career progression through regular in-house training sessions, ‘lunch and learn’ type CPD and external courses where appropriate, though please note that we are not a training practice so currently unable to support you through nurse training.

Our nursing team currently have a varied working day which will include admitting/discharging patients, running bloods and other lab work, setting up and monitoring patients throughout GA and subsequent recovery, inpatient care and treatment. We also promote a variety of nurse clinics to our clients, including weight clinics, puppy/kitten progress checks and post op checks. We have X-Ray, ultrasound, endoscope and lab facilities on site.

Hours of work will be full time over 4 days, with exact shifts to be discussed at interview. 1:2 Saturday mornings, no OOH requirement. We will require a degree of flexibility to fit in around holidays etc, though mostly the hours are fixed.

Salary and benefits are dependent on experience, and include 4 weeks holiday, pension scheme, CPD funding and staff discount.
