**IT Resource Manager - Liverpool with Hybrid Working £43,415 - £54,950 plus exceptional benefits** We are partnered with one of the largest Employers in the region, a leading Russell Group University who are looking for an experienced IT Resource Manager to join them as they make a substantial investment in the IT Services. A leader within their sector,the company operates on a large-scale with over with over 30,000 users and a world class reputation. As the IT Resource Manager, you would be responsible for actively managing and allocating available project resource to meet the demand within IT Services. You will be tasked with ensuring that current and future programmes and projects are equipped withenough resources of the right skills, at the time they are needed, and that those resources are used as efficiently as possible. **Operating a Hybrid working model, there is a split of onsite and remote working. In addition to the salary offered, there are exceptional benefits which include an unrivalled pension scheme that contributes in excess of 20% as well as in excess of30 days of holiday and a genuine commitment to continued professional development.** It is essential that you have proven experience in Resource Management, be skilled in working with stakeholders at all levels and confident at identifying and managing priorities. **Key Skills and Responsibilities** - You will work closely with Project Leads to understand their resource requirements and forecast future resource needs, based on portfolio/programme/project plans and demand - Provide a view of commitments of programmes and projects versus business-as usual activities, that will impact the ability of a portfolio, programme or project to deliver - Plan and manage the allocation of staff, in terms of both skill content and quantity, ensuring they are in place at the time needed - Provide Management teams with the most up to date information in order to facilitate decision making - Actively monitor the deployment of staff, arranging new postings in advance of assignments ending, to meet resource demand, staff development needs, whilst maintaining a good match of skills to roles - Maintain a database of resources and their skills/attributes, location, availability, contact details and lead responsibility for the resource - Review skills audits (delivered through the Centre of Excellence) to determine whether proposed programmes or projects have the required skills to deliver their role on the programme or project - Manage resource to fill shortfalls within the portfolio, programme or project; assist in engaging 'just in time' resources where new requirements surface at short notice This is an amazing opportunity to join our client as they embark upon a new strategy to deliver a new TOM, which will result in the delivery of a number of significant digital & technology initiatives.
