We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Family Support Sessions Facilitator to join our dedicated, experienced and growing team of professionals as we embark on a journey of expansion.
Established in 2000, Caudwell Children aims to change people’s lives, change the way society perceives and treats disabled and autistic people and change the way that charities operate, through the provision of child-centred practical and emotional services, passionate campaigning and demonstrating best practice. Our facilities provide a state-of-the-art base within the grounds of Keele University, Staffordshire, with the option of informal homeworking arrangements up to 40% of working week after passing probation.
**POST OUTLINE**
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment within a developing service. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic facilitator to support the delivery of our support sessions to families, education, health, and social care staff. Caudwell Children deliver a range of practical and accessible sessions, and you will be working to increase the skills and knowledge of others to enhance the lives of children and young people with disabilities through the delivery of our sessions. These sessions focus on some of the key difficulties families may experience when raising a child with a disability and/or autism, which have been developed in direct consultation with autistic people, parents, beneficiaries and our in-house clinical team
**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with the Workshop Delivery & Development Manager to assist in identifying training needs for families, children and young people living with disabilities and people working in health, social care and education settings.
- Deliver face to face and virtual sessions for children and families living with disabilities, and people working in health, social care and education settings.
- Obtain outcomes from the Family Support sessions and coordinating with the Workshop Delivery & Development Manager, provide analysis and recommendations.
- Liaise with Caudwell Children’s Family Support Team to confirm that families they have referred into the Family Support Sessions have attended, to enable follow up as part of a support plan.
- Provide regular, accurate reporting of training activity, for example attendees, content and time.
- Support others, including volunteers and apprentices, to deliver family play sessions when part of the workshop
- To work effectively and co-operatively as a member of a team, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and professionals from other departments within the Charity and with external agencies.

**Essential Criteria**:
- Knowledge and understanding of children, young people and families with SEND including autism.
- Presentation skills both written, visual and verbal
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
