My client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lab Technician.

The position is mostly lab-based, with an emphasis on the development and distribution of chemistry-based formulations, Solutions, Buffers, Fixatives, Agars, and Culture Media, all while adhering to GxP guidelines.

When properly trained, there will be opportunities to engage in conversations with scientists in order to build and formulate specialised novel media.

To provide a quality service to the scientific community, you will be expected to operate both alone and as part of a team of approximately seven people.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all areas of environmental, health, and safety (as well as mandatory trainings) meet both Customer and company objectives.
- To manufacture complicated 1, 2, and 3 items on a daily basis to a continuously high grade, in accordance with SHE, GXP, and local agreements. TH1-5 chemical weighing and batch recording, media manufacturing and dispensing, aseptic processes and techniques,and laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, and operation are among the activities (pH meters, balances etc)
- To proactively deliver a high-quality service, managing workload and service levels as an individual and as part of the team.

- Stock rotation of raw chemical and KanBan items
- Adherence to site policy when reporting equipment failure
- Provide important metrics in line with relevant KPIs and set SLAs
- Actively seek ways to improve processes within the service
- A flexible attitude, assisting colleagues in the Glass Wash crew and delivering media items throughout the facility as needed.

**About You**:

- Level 3 / A Level or comparable qualification in a scientific field, as well as an understanding of analytical chemistry principles and practise
- Knowledge of research, SHE, and GxP standards in the laboratory
- Knowledge of laboratory processes and the ability to carry out tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Working knowledge of GMP standards, including QC procedures
- Working to an ISO standard is a plus
