**General Operations Assistant**
**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a **General Operations Assistant** to support the day-to-day running of our growing business. This is a hands-on role that involves **stock management, order fulfilment, basic electronics assembly, and general office support**. As a small company, flexibility is key—you’ll be involved in various tasks to help ensure smooth operations.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Full training will be provided, and the role offers potential for growth as the company expands.
**Everyday Duties**:
- **Stock & Order Fulfilment**:
- Manage stock levels and keep inventory well-organised.
- Check, pick, and pack customer orders for shipping.
- Travel to the post office to ship orders when needed.
- **Technical & Assembly Support**:
- Configure electronic devices to specific requirements before dispatch (training provided).
- Prepare wiring looms to specification (strip, solder, and similar) (training provided).
- **Office & Business Support**:
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
- Support the team in day-to-day operations, adapting to business needs.
**Approach**:
- A proactive, can-do attitude is essential.
- Ability to adapt to different tasks as the business grows.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- No formal qualifications required, but experience in stock management, logistics, administration, or electronics is beneficial.
- Basic PC, Spreadsheet, E-mail, and communications experience.
- Comfortable handling small electronic components and basic wiring (training provided).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
**Nice-to-have Skills**:
- Previous experience in stock control, order processing, or logistics.
- Basic experience with soldering or wiring.
- Confidence in using office software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Google Sheets).
**Location**:
- Currently based in **Syston/Queniborough, Leicester**.
- The company plans to move to larger premises in the area, potentially **Loughborough**, but certainly no farther away.
- No remote work is available for this position.
**Hours & Salary**:
- **Full-time, 40 hours per week** (with time off in lieu when hours are exceeded).
- **Monday to Friday** (some flexibility may be required).
- **Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 per year**:
- **Potential Bonus based on performance**
