Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic/General Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, playing a key role in preventing the spread of infection and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents, staff, and visitors.

Job specifications:

- Maintain resident safety by keeping all communal areas including restroom & laundry room clean to create a sterile, safe environment
- Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, polish and replenish supplies
- Emptying bins and waste containers
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and order supplies that need to be replenished
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while performing duties
- Adhere to infection control protocols
- Handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly
- Report any maintenance or repair needs in line with company process.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen area including all equipment and appliances
- Serving lunch to our residents & clearing the Restaurant area afterwards.
- Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- To cover the emergency handset during your shift or at any other time deemed appropriate by the business (training will be given)
- Practicing safe systems of work across a range of tasks
- Vital importance must be placed upon personal hygiene, kitchen hygiene and overall building hygiene & cleanliness.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as may be reasonably associated with this role.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
- COSHH certification would be advantageous but can be provided
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods of time
