**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager / Energy Manager to join our Energy & Utilities team and help us on our journey towards becoming a carbon neutral business by 2050.

Reporting into the Head of Energy & Utilities you will be a key asset in driving forward our ESG commitment to reduce our carbon footprint by at least 50% by 2030 (vs 2021).

You will be responsible for monitoring market development and setting the agenda and priorities for the company's energy risk management strategy to ensure we reach net zero by 2050.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement governance arrangements to deliver agreed risk management strategies
- Develop and maintain existing relationships with suppliers and other providers to uphold EG Group’s reputation as a high-quality partner
- Oversee tendering processes for suppliers, PPA’s and other service providers
- Manage energy contract performance from multiple providers such as: suppliers, PPA providers and consultancy support partners
- Review aggregate consumption patterns and forecasts (in conjunction with property and third-party service providers) to ensure contractual commitments satisfy business requirements
- Work collaboratively with ESG team and other head office departments
- Ensure internal, operational and financial controls are in place
- Direct the selection strategy and on-board new specialist service providers
- Develop supply chains to create opportunities to reduce EG Group’s environmental impact
- Provide oversight for project delivery, giving direction on the form of analysis required and review the materials generated
- Implement and manage energy efficiency programmes within the allocated timeframe whilst adhering to budget provided

- Extensive experience as a Procurement Manager / Energy Manager
- Utility experience and sector knowledge
- Good understanding of roles and responsibilities of different operational parties
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Critical thinker who is action orientated, pro-active and resourceful with a clear drive for results
- Highly organised and self-sufficient with a great attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at any one time
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- BA/BSC honours degree _(desirable)_
- Energy Manager Certification _(desirable)_
- Previous experience in Energy Supply Chain _(desirable)_
