The Vacancy

Our 14 -16 Alternative Provision is looking for a dedicated 14-19 Support Worker that will be supporting our pre 16 students. The cohorts of students study a wide range of courses ranging from GCSE English & maths to Construction. As most of our students have SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) needs, we are looking for someone that has experience with working with students that display challenging behaviour. The Alternative Provision offers a wide and varied bespoke and individualised timetables to suit our student needs. We would welcome a new innovative co professional to join our already existing and experienced Alternative Provision team.

What You Will Do

Providing in-class support to meet barriers to learning including emotional, behaviour and social development.

Support curriculum staff in classroom management.

Support a cohort of students with set tasks.

Deal with challenging behaviour in a classroom environment.

You will take the lead from the teacher with what areas you will support in.

Your Experience

You will be a team player, confident and enthusiastic.

Have experience working with pre 16 students.

Have experience or be willing to train in classroom management.

Willing to undertake team teach training.

Have good communication skills.
