Are you a warm, friendly and passionate individual who is keen to start working in the hospitality industry? We are looking for a responsible individual to work with our team in a fast-paced, high-volume cafe environment. This position is perfect for someone who is interested in learning about the cafe business and does well under deadlines. As an Assistant, you will learn a great deal about our unique, boutique brand and have the opportunity to gain experience as you put your skills to use, including greeting guests at the door, serving customers and restocking our product inventory.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accept payment from customers.
- Organise queue of customers in a manner that maximises sales potential.
- Ensure food is served according to standards.
- Keep the cafe tidy.
- Monitor and control food stock levels to ensure that there are no shortages or overages.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waltham Abbey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 2 years (required)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food safety and hygiene (required)
