**What exactly will you be**doing?**

**Major objectives**

As the Head of Qualifications, your role sits within the Products and Services team and reports to the Product Director (AO). You will lead the team as a Centre of Excellence on the product lifecycle and management of qualifications and their associated products and services within AAT. You will lead an expert team responsible for designing innovative, customer focused and high-quality qualifications and assessments, ensuring an appropriate balance between validity, comparability and reliability. The Head of Qualifications will also be accountable for the performance of our qualifications including their market relevance.

The role includes a high level of matrix management working across the Senior Leadership Team ( SLT), Customer and Account Management (CAMS), Strategy and Compliance and Technology as well as immediate colleagues within Products and Services (AO). Working across the organisation you will lead on driving the overall performance of our qualifications.

**What are we looking for?**
- Experience of working within the UK education sector.
- Understanding of education policy development across a range of sectors.
- Experience of assessing and responding to the likely impact of policy changes on learners, training providers and members/professionals.
- An innovative approach to qualification design and implementation
- Experience of leading on the performance of qualifications including a high commercial awareness
- Experience of leading multi-functional teams and a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Experience of developing and/or implementing a range of qualifications and assessment methodologies.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.
