**LABOURER - CONSTRUCTION**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position(s)**:
Site Labourer (Steel Erectors & Cladding Division)

**Reporting To**:
Contracts Manager

**Location**:
Squad pick-up location - Newton Stewart, Dumfriesshire

**Contract**:
Full Time, Permanent

**Hourly Rate**:
Dependent on Experience + Overtime After 40 Hours

Travel time to site - Basic Rate

Overnight Allowance

**Hours of Work**:
Monday to Friday, (40 hpw)

Weekend availability

Overnight stays

**PURPOSE OF ROLES**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the key duties and responsibilities for these roles include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting in the erecting of steel structures and buildings.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and on-site procedures.
- Ensure site areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy manner at all times.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
- Assist with general ad hoc duties as and when required.

**Person Specification**

**Essential Criteria**:

- A self-motivated team with a proactive attitude towards work.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative with mínimal supervision.
- Possess the ability to read and understand drawings.
- Have an understanding of health and safety, manual handling and working at height regulations.
- Due to the nature of these roles, you must be willing to travel throughout the UK with overnight stays required depending on the site location.

**Desirable Criteria**:

- IPAF for MEWPs operator’s licence
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- Hold a valid CPCS card for Slinger/ Signaller.
- First Aid Certificate
- Valid driving licence
