**LGV Driver Apprentice (Trained up CAT C+E)**

**Pay**:Starting wage will be £9.72 p/h initially, rising incrementally to potentially £14.50 p/h upon completion of the course (depending on the chosen driving shift).**

Our customer base includes major supermarkets, food & drink manufacturers & distributors, high street retailers and stalwarts in the construction, horticulture & industrial sectors. They range from multinational blue chip corporations to small local companies.

**Who can apply?**

This fantastic opportunity is open to anyone across the business based in England, as long as you meet the following requirements:

- Hold a CAT B (car) driving licence (if you have CAT C, you will be over-qualified for the role)
- No more than six minor points on your driving licence
- Medically fit for work (given the physical nature of the job)

**Duties & Responsibilities**

This will involve:

- Loading and unloading of trailers,
- Picking orders
- Stock control
- Yard work and other ad hoc tasks.

Eventually you will move to shunting in the yard. In-house training will be provided for the shunting role, and the shunting will continue on an ad-hoc basis throughout the training.

After the three months, we would be looking to send apprentices out as a buddy with a driver mentor. Once the apprentice has acquired their licences, we would look to start them off initially shunting trailers from the ports to our yard for a short period, before they would be given deliveries to undertake whilst accompanied by one of our experience drivers.

**Qualifications**
- GCSE English & maths grades A*-C (9-4) preferred, but not essential as you can gain Level 2 Maths & English as part of the apprenticeship.
