**The Role**:
As an Environmental Enforcement Officer you will be responsible for the promotion and enforcement of legislation with regards to dropping litter, dog fouling, fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, street trading, breaches of local byelaws and other related contraventions as required.

**What you'll do**:
Monitor and enforce within the London Borough of Lambeth by foot patrol, undertake investigations and pursue enforcement action where appropriate

Investigate reports of littering, fly tipping and dog fouling and other similar offences

Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for offences where appropriate

Prepare and submit relevant cases for prosecution and assist legal services in presenting prosecution cases to court, attending as a witness when necessary

Record witness statements and conduct interviews under caution when necessary

Validate and verify personal details of offenders

Build good working relationships with key service areas and other agencies including the Police

**What you'll bring**:
Experience of undertaking enforcement work

Knowledge of environmental services such as cleansing and waste collection

Ability to communicate effectively to different audiences and work as part of a team

Ability to deal with complaints and resolve complex issues

Full clean driving licence is required

Ability to ride a pedal cycle

**What we'll offer you**:
£28,253.36 per annum

42.5 hours per week
- working any 5 from 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays
