To maintain and grow the Compassionate Neighbours programme to agreed levels. Recruit, train, and supervise Compassionate Communities volunteers. Process internal and external referrals received into compassionate Neighbours Programme Carry out assessments with referred Community Members in their own homes. Be the first point of contact for Compassionate Communities volunteers, providing advice and support, organising engagement activities, and running regular catch ups.

Deliver training to the Compassionate Neighbour volunteers. Coordinate Compassionate Communities activities which include managing relationships with existing groups, supervising volunteers, and welcoming new visitors into the space. Supervise office-based volunteers. Be responsible for inputting accurate information into our Database and produce regular reports of activity.

Coordinate the collection, collation and processing of information associated with all Compassionate Communities activity. To contribute the evaluation of services within remit. Participate in team meetings and team development activities. Communicate and build relationships with the internal hospice teams and external health and social care professionals to identify possible referrals to our various services and ensure they meet our criteria.

Participate in and contribute within external networks and forums to ensure our services and hospice is represented in appropriate areas. Supply the Communications Team with stories and information about our services, in order that they can cover local events and stories that describe the work of the Compassionate Communities team.
