Interviews for this role are scheduled for 22 August 2024 and will be held face to face in Wellington Civic Centre, Larkin Way, Tan Bank, Wellington, Telford, TF1 1LX.
The Primary Care Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the ongoing implementation and delivery of the Primary Care programme of work which is a complex but exciting transformation programme moving at scale and pace.
The postholder also provides support to the Primary Care Team with operational activities and works closely with the Senior Team and other team members as part of the ongoing implementation of this work programme.
Providing support and administration to the Primary Care Information and Transformation Board and Primary Care Secondary Care Interface Board meetings.
The post holder will need to build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to:
Internal ICB staff including managers, colleagues, and senior management as appropriate
Primary Care Team and Leads from across the ICB PCNs, GPs and Practice-based clinical/non clinical staff
Training Hub and team members
PMO Team
ICS partners, including portfolio leads, Local Authorities and Provider and Place Collaboratives
Non-NHS organisations
Members of the public and service users as appropriate
Matrix work across all other teams to address interdependencies and ensure alignment of mutual objectives.
External consultancy, as required
To support the Primary Care Team with several projects across the full project lifecycle (co-design, delivery, benefits review/realisation, and transition into business as usual) working to a Programme Management framework.
To liaise with primary care teams across the ICB on the work programme pertaining to the Primary Care Strategy
To work with GPs, GPNs and other members of the Primary Care Workforce to promote schemes, answer queries, offer support and to take and record information that can be of a complex (with the governance processes surrounding schemes) and sensitive nature (e.g., organising Peer Mentoring Sessions, taking personal information such as bank account details).
To work with GPs and other professionals to develop case studies and other outcome information/data.
To have sole responsibility for PCITB and PCSCIB meetings (involving clinical and non-clinical staff from across the ICB) including setting up meetings, arranging distribution of papers, agenda preparation, the taking and writing up of action notes (and the transcribing of formal minutes when appropriate) and updating of any documentation.
To have day to day co-ordination of admin team members from across organisational boundaries to ensure:

- that they are supported to undertake their actions from meetings
- supervised where appropriate to undertake aspects of work outside their normal area of expertise e.g., completion of project highlight reports
- key project milestones are met
To maintain project plans and other key project documentation in line with the Primary Care Programme and Governance Processes.
