We are currently recruiting for an experienced bookkeeper in the rapidly growing UK Accounts department. As a bookkeeper, you will be expected to be able to work independently and pro-actively in the Accounts department, enter client data accurately and efficiently into Xero, provide support to your colleagues and help drive improvement throughout the Accounts department.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Double entry bookkeeping including bank reconciliation of clients accounts primarily through Xero and occasionally other accounting systems.
- Extraction of data from e commerce websites. E.g. Amazon, Shopify.
- Liaison with clients within allocated portfolio and ensuring that relevant data is collected and processed on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of depreciation, accruals, prepayments, journals, and any other relevant adjustments
- Ability to adhere to accounting standards.
- Meeting set internal and external deadlines.
- Maintain a full and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documents.

**Essential Knowledge, skills and abilities**:

- AAT Level 3 Qualified or Qualified by experience.
- 2 years of bookkeeping experience within accountancy practice.
- A full comprehensive understanding of double entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to manage personal workload effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong work ethic.

**Desirable Knowledge, skills and abilities**:

- Knowledge of e commerce businesses.
- Confidence and ability to quickly pick up new systems.
- Experience of using Xero and A2X.
