**Senior Bookkeeper**

**Salary up to £40,000 (full time equivalent)**

We are delighted to be recruiting for a brand new Senior Bookkeeper to join our firm. We are a modern, chartered firm who offer full accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services to their growing client base.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking firm as they expand and look to bring new clients on-board. The role will predominantly run the bookkeeping function for the office but will also look after a small portfolio of payroll clients.

**Role Responsabilities**
- Manage a portfolio of limited company, sole trader, and partnership clients from a diverse range of industry sectors.
- Completing full bookkeeping for all clients.
- Ensure general bookkeeping is completed in a timely manner.
- Monthly reporting.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Managing monthly payroll for a small portfolio of clients.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, dealing with HMRC queries.
- Data entry using various accounting software
- Liaising with clients and their representatives/managers.

**Person Responsibilities -**
- At least 3+ years’ experience gained as a Bookkeeper/Senior Accounts Assistant working for a UK based accountancy practice.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Flexibility of approach as there will be lots of variety within the role.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise directly with clients.
- The ability to be able to work independently, managing your own time, and ensuring deadlines are adhered to.

Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
