Warehouse Assistant

A fantastic opportunity, for a **Warehouse Assistant** to join a leading logistics company in Renfrew.

Main areas of responsibility will include:

- Loading and unloading vehicles and containers
- Driving counter balance & VNA fork lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Receive, check, book-in & put away stock
- Pick, pack and dispatch orders
- Discrepancy recording, reporting and investigation
- Digital record keeping / Stock control via the companies WMS system
- Providing a professional customer service whist communicating with clients and partners
- Liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers for the transport of outbound goods
- Liaising with other internal departments
- Regular housekeeping and compliance with all Health & Safety regulations

Key skills and attributes:

- Previous experience working within a logistics warehouse is essential
- A FLT licence is advantageous
- Good literacy and numerical skills
- A good understanding of IT (Outlook, Excel, Word & WMS systems)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

The basic hours of work are 07-30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime at peak periods. 23 days holiday + stat/bank holidays.

A competitive salary + company bonus is offered depending on experience, which shall be discussed further at the interview stage.
