The role requires a variety of administrative functions such as shipping and receiving of goods monitoring inventory and assistance with the processing of work orders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Service Co-ordinationRequires ability to use field service software for the recording of field service activitiesAssist the service team with the processing of work orders to ensure accurate recording of work completed inventory and invoicingProcessing of shipping goods to and from customers ensuring all return merchandise authorisations have been completed for the tracking of assetsInventory ManagementResponsible for organization of shipments from the US and receiving of goods into the UK warehouseAssist with the set up and maintenance of the warehouse for storage of goodsMaintenance of the stock to ensure minimum levels are suitable to support field service engineers in the UKCommunication with the service team to ensure smooth delivery of products and services to customersResponsible for the shipping and receiving of inventory from the warehouse to field service engineersReceiving:Unpacks and examines incoming shipments rejects damaged items records shortages and resolves such mattersWork with carriers to facilitate unloading storage and organization of productsVerify incoming materials and perform visual inspection to ensure that all products are not damaged or deteriorated.Report incoming shipments on appropriate software to allow inventory to be allocated to locations correctly.Shipping:Develop and maintain shipping logistics to provide next day delivery shipping from the UK warehouse to our field service engineersCompares identifying information and counts weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading invoices orders or other records.Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.Assembles wooden or cardboard containersInserts items into containers.Stamps stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Arrangement of shipments to field service engineersMaintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
