If you feel that you can deliver excellence, enjoy a challenge, and are prepared to go that extra mile, then we would love to hear from you. **The Role**: This is a predominately office-based role in a smart/casual, corporate office environment and encompasses conception to completion commercial responsibility on a job-by-job basis. - Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers at all levels to ensure projects are efficiently costed and managed - Pricing - generating quotations via Construct, PQQ's and tender submissions for minor and/or major works of values £20k - £3m - Pricing of preliminaries including method related options/solutions - Producing analytical price build ups and sub-contract comparisons - Providing sub-contractor tender packs to contractual standards JCT / NEC3 - Presentation of tender analysis for Director adjudication - Internal handovers to project management team - Site visits to undertake surveys, attend meetings with projects team/directors as necessary - Having an excellent understanding of all technical drawings and knowledge of AutoCAD - Filing of all associated costing documentation within the company quotation folders - Maintaining and working to deadlines and having an in-depth knowledge of materials, feasibility, and timescales - Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyors and support the projects team as necessary from a commercial perspective **Experience**: - At least 5 year's experience in an estimating role. Relevant qualifications advantageous. - Industry experience in the construction, fit out, joinery sectors, including working both on new build and residential conversion developments - Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, organisational and IT skills - Good time management and prioritising skills are a must - An excellent working knowledge of excel is essential for the preparation of documentation and reports - Be bright, outgoing, efficient, and enthusiastic, hardworking, and very much a team player - The ability to work on your own initiative, learn quickly and have the passion for the role you undertake **General**: Driving is essential to undertake this role, and use of own vehicle for travel for site attendance, surveys and client meetings/sub-contractor meetings is essential
