Head of Fleet Compliance & Administration

UK Flexible - travel to South East HQ and national travel

£60,000-£75,000 plus car, pension, bonus

Our client is a well regarded retail name with an extensive in-house UK fleet providing national distribution. They now wish to recruit a highly experienced Head of Fleet Compliance & Administration. Your role will be to manage, promote and enhance the fleetcompliance, risk and governance culture across the group and ensure all aspects of the O License, workshop and vehicle compliance requirements are understood, monitored and enforced across the business.

You will manage a team of around 20 via 6 direct reports and we expect you will have experience working in a similar sized operation, also being able to demonstrate your change management and continuous improvement achievements along with a strong commercialacumen.

Key responsibilities:
Ensure standardisation of O Licence Compliance across the business and achievement of best in class O Licence Governance

Counsel senior managers within the business on Compliance, Risk Management and Insurance issues, completion of monthly reporting to the Board and SLT

Proactively develop the analysis and communicate compliance KPI's - MOT success rates, tacho compliance/infringement data, CPC Coverage details etc

Working closely with Fleet Policy Manager and supporting and working with stakeholders, internal and external to include Logistics UK/DVSA/Traffic Commissioners office etc

Management and development of systems and procedures to promote good governance - reporting of NIPs/PCNs and auditing of O License governance etc

Ensure continuing standards, controls and processes are in place to maintain DVSA's earned recognition and FORS accreditation

Embed a culture of continuous improvement across your team, challenge the status quo, look for value add projects and initiatives, improved use of MI and data

Develop the Fleet Administration function

This is a critical role and will require you to be not just experienced in the fleet compliance and administration functions but a strong capable leader with excellent communication skills. Highly analytical, strategically focussed with a proven track recordof turning strategy into results. Someone who is able to provide thought leadership, bring change and knowledge in the vehicle regulatory arena. A self starter with relentless goal focus. Confident presenting to key stakeholders, SLT and board.
