**Location**: Newtown, Powys

**Your main responsibilities will be**:

- Supporting clients within their own homes
- Ensuring clients are actively involved in activities within their own home.
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients and their families
- To offer choice and control in all areas of the client’s life
- Meeting the individual’s daily needs and requirements in a kind, compassionate and patient manner
- To assist clients where required which may involve assistance with; continence requirements, personal care, preparing snacks, regenerating meals, fluids and medication assistance.
- Listening and talking to clients
- Ensuring the health and safety of all clients
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings.
- To ensure confidentiality is always maintained, in keeping with the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 - ensuring that clients personal details are not disclosed to any unauthorised person and all records are maintained within the DPA 1998 requirements
- Support and mentor colleagues
- Partake in on call
- Cover and or re-distribute care calls in emergencies
- Mentor staff with observations and spot checks
- Attend meetings with management and fellow seniors.

- To work with our clients on daily tasks instead of taking over to speed things up
- Respect them whilst working in their home
- To be someone who will put our clients first and listen to their choices
- Confident is leading and mentoring others
- A high level of communication skills (written and verbal)
- A driving License and vehicle

**Benefits**:

- Pay per hour is **£11.40 weekday**. **£12.00ph at weekend**. **45p per mile and travel time paid at £9.50ph.**:

**Job Types**: Full-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £12.25-£12.75 per hour
