Service Desk Officer

A well-established business is currently looking for a 1st Line IT Service Desk Officer to join their busy IT department, initially on a 3-month contract, to provide IT support to the wider business. This role can be based at their offices in Scarborough or Redcar, depending on your location, and the salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
Reporting into the IT Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage requests and incidents through the Service Management help desk system
- Provide a first-time fix resolution, or escalate issues as needed to the senior support team
- Ensure a resolution is provided in line with Service Level Agreements
- Monitor progress on requests, ensuring end users are kept informed throughout the process
- Improve customer experience by promoting the use of ICT across the business
To be successful in this IT Service Desk Officer role, you will be a proactive self-starter with experience in a similar position, who can hit the ground running and support the team. You will be customer-focused, using excellent communication skills and attention to detail to deliver an excellent service.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
